Step by step
- Create a batch with the subject, level, mark scheme, optional question paper and question structure. Upload one student script per file.
- Run marking and check each paper in Review. Correct extracted text, marks and feedback as needed; AI marks need teacher review.
- For a photo or PDF page, open its preview and choose Annotate page. Use Pen, Highlighter, Text or Eraser, with Undo last and Zoom when useful.
- Choose Save annotations and wait for All annotations saved before closing. This saves notes on that page; the original file stays unchanged.
- Review final marks, then use Push to gradebook. Check every student match and choose the correct existing or new assignment.
- Confirm the push result and open the class Gradebook. Students can use View annotated papers in their assignment after the paper is linked to them.
Things to check
- Marked means AI marking has finished; it is not the same as teacher-reviewed or published.
- Marking Assistant annotations become available to a student after Push to Gradebook links the paper to them.
- For assignment uploads, teachers use Annotate uploaded papers. Check the save result before leaving.
- If extraction is inaccurate, inspect the original, question structure and mark scheme before re-marking.
